Denis, the owner, is very helpful and knowledgeable about Pemba and Africa. The family feel, delicious food, and family-style dining are highlights. Tours organized by Dennis are affordable and accompanied by the hotel's staff. The rooms are simple and clean, and the terrace provides a lovely view of the beach and harbor. The staff is welcoming and professional.

As young travelers, we absolutely loved our stay at Lala Lodge in Mgini, Pemba Zanzibar. the incredibly warm welcome at the airport made us feel right at home. the owner, Dennis, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We enjoyed a boat ride to a beautiful beach, indulged in delicious food, and had lovely breakfasts. the friendly and helpful staff made us feel like family, and we had great conversations and shared memorable moments with Dennis. the experience was fantastic, and we can't wait to come back!
